Job Purpose
As a Gameplay Programmer, you’ll play a central role in implementing and refining the core gameplay experience. You’ll collaborate with designers and artists to bring characters, controls, and game mechanics to life across PC and consoles.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement responsive, engaging gameplay mechanics using Unity or Unreal Engine
- Collaborate closely with design and art teams to iterate on features and gameplay feel
- Optimize gameplay systems for performance and memory across platforms (especially console)
- Handle player input, including advanced controller https://engarde.lt/mogulir/2021/04/poodj7atts841.jpg and input mapping
- Maintain clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Assist in rapid prototyping of new features and mechanics
- Debug and fix gameplay-related bugs across multiple builds
Requirements
- Proficient in gameplay coding for Unity or Unreal Engine
- Strong understanding of console optimization techniques
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with designers and artists
- Skilled in implementing controller input and tuning responsive gameplay mechanics
- Solid grasp of mathematics, physics, and game architecture
- Comfortable with debugging tools and performance profiling
- Bonus: Experience shipping on PlayStation, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch
Performance Expectations
- Maintain fluid framerate and low input latency across platforms
- Deliver polished gameplay that aligns with design goals and player experience
- Ensure compatibility and stability for controller input on console platforms
- Contribute to a clean and scalable codebase
- Respond quickly to QA feedback and blocker bugs

- Competitive salary: €35,000 – €55,000 gross/year
